How to Grow Passion Flowers
Passion flowers are show-stoppingly beautiful flowers that grow on vines. Because of this, we highly recommend you grow passion flowers near a fence or a trellis, to ensure that they can climb up and expand.
Climate:
Because of their origins, most varieties of the passion flower can only be grown through USDA zones 7-10, but there are a few varieties that can survive up to USDA plant hardiness zone 5.
Sun:
Passion flowers love the sun, so plan to grow them in an area that will receive at least 6-8 hours of sunlight per day.
Soil:
Soil must be of good quality and well draining.
Fertilizer:
Fertilize twice a year with a well-balanced fertilizer – once in spring and once in midsummer is all you need.
Growing Passion Flower Indoors:
If you live in an area where the winters are too harsh, you should consider growing passion flowers indoors! Plant your passion flower in a large pot and set it in front of a window where it will receive as much sun as possible.
Plant the vine in a rich commercial indoor potting soil and keep the soil moist, but never wet.
Move the plant outdoors in full sunlight once all danger of frost has passed, and let the vines run wild.
In the fall, cut back the vines to a reasonable size and bring your pot back indoors.

Unfortunately, we are not a store, and therefore we do not sell plants or seeds. But if you head to your local nursery, they should have a wide range of seeds available, and you can also find them on Amazon 🙂
I bought a passion fruit at the veggie stand and kept some of the seeds. Planted in some soil to get them started when they were 12 inches I put into the ground. And they have gone wild. My fruit this year is as big as baseballs.
